General Ethical and Professional Conduct:

As members of the WorldTree, we aspire to and use a Holistic, World Conscious approach to maintaining the highest Ethical and Professional standings and practices around Confidentiality, Moral Practices and Beliefs within in our communities and society.

Each Member agrees to not only follow the standards of practices and guidelines outlined within the WorldTree Policies and Procedures Manual but also, those of any and all related professional practices guidelines such as: Clinical Counselors Ethics, Research Ethics, and Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).We each agree to exceed the literal and figurative language of such policies and practices and abide by the spirit and intent of such agreements and practices to ensure the safety and well being for all.

We affirm and maintain a relationship of equality and growth in support of our individual as well as community obligation towards ethical practices and remain in good integrity with these agreements by clearing up oversights or broken committments, and by the use of mediation advocacy, and peer review when questions of conflict, concern or ambiguity exist.

Moreover we ascribe to maintain the Highest Core Teachings and principles of:

1. Using ethical decision making and evaluation on an ongoing basis including Mediation, Advocacy and Peer Review

2. Ascribe to the 4 R’s and exercises: Respect, Responsibility, Reassurance, and Rights

Respect for self, others & the environment...Responsibility for self, others & the environment...

3. Use INFORMED CONSENT at all times and avoid using deception and deceit.

4. Use the core concept of COMPETENCE

5. Employ INTEGRITY in our Thoughts, Actions and Speech.

We will maintain a World Conscious Perspective in accepting that there are many paths but One destination; each tradition offering its own unique perspectives and values which incorporate into a holistic and co-operative model of Community well- being and understanding.

We aspire to remain neutral in matters, which are, considered political or mundane; by following the purposes, goals, and objective of the society: offering humanitarian support in times of distress and discord in our community. Where individuals are called to by matter of spiritual, ethical, moral, conscienable objection to social issues, each member will act in a manner which does the least amount of harm to all parties.
